The National Archaeological Museum of Naples
The museum is located close to a major artery leading from one side to the sea (along Via Toledo, passing through Piazza del Plebiscito) and from the other side towards the hilly area of Capodimonte (along Via Santa teresa degli Scalzi). in Via Sapienza, a few meters from the archeological museum, begins the decumano superiore.
I Decumani
Close to the archeological museum there are a lot of monuments, including the churches of San giovanni battista delle monache, santa maria di costantinopoli and santa maria della sapienza. We are in the huge area of Decumani and in particular of the decumano superiore. In parallel we find the decumano maggiore, which connects port'alba to forcella.
